We are pleased to announce that the Lone Star Challenge for this weekend is a go.
Weather looks great for Friday and Saturday and Sunday is 50/50
Our biggest concern has been the amount of rain that the area has experienced the last several days but we are drying out today and Thursday. We will be flying over Longview so hard surface landings will be an option.
The first pilot briefing will be at 6 AM Friday May 14th the the Bussey Balloon Port, 802 N 2nd in Longview Texas
Task sheet will be also be available on Watchmefly.net. under Lone Star Challenge
Schedule of Events
Friday May 14
6 am : Pilot Briefing Bussey Balloon Port
5 pm : Downtown Live, Heritage Plaza 219 E Methvin St Longview, TX 75601
Band, food trucks and adult beverages sold. Bring chairs
Saturday May 15
6 am : Pilot Briefing at Bussey Balloon Port
9 am : No chef breakfast at Balloon Port
3 pm : Lake day at Sandy and Richard dock, ST91 Lake Cherokee
Sunday May 16
6 am : Pilot Briefing at Bussey Balloon Port
Refueling be available Friday and Saturday mornings and maybe Sunday at Balloon Port.
Projected Cost will be $2.25 a gallon and visa and MasterCard will be accepted at time of refueling.

We are planning a Great weekend of flying.
Will be using the Watchmefly WEBSITE for task sheet and weather
Also if you want to will be using the Balloon Live APP available for $5.99 at the App Store for Apple products ( iPhone iPad) or at play store for Android products
To be able to use the Balloon Live app for this competition you will need a token code to activate the competition functions. MORE WILL BE PROVIDED LATER on this part. I have to get it set up so don’t waste time trying to enter competition mode on the Balloon Live app.
But you can become familiar with the Balloon live app in trading mode.
Also try to become familiar with the Watchmefly website especially the Lone Star Challenge part.
All of this is pretty straightforward but does take just a little practice
BYE NO MEANS WILL YOU BE REQUIRED TO USE THE BALLOON LIVE APP DURING THIS COMPETITION
We are still doing mostly baggie drops but as of now will be adding on tasks using the Balloon Live App at the end of baggie tasks
