Afternoon All

Looks like the LSC is a go for in the Morning

Will be gathering  at Nanny Goats 1401 Judson Road , Longview  75601  around 5:45

Task Sheet will be on Watch me fly by 545 hopefully earlier 

With the unstable weather we are having be prepared for last minute changes  Looks like we could have fog in morning if though not forecasted 

Looks like will be using a common Launch area in morning at New Covent church South Campus  on FM  2087 just south of I20

If you find a good place to land before completion of tasks you might want to take it,  the direction we are going isn't bad but can be challenging 

Remember Eastside Airport is considered a Red Area and the Field south of Peters Chev on Eastman Road  AVOID AT ALL COSTS

For those competing be sure to buy your token for the Lone Star Challenge by in morning

5 Select Lone Star Challenge 2025  ( you have to be on pilot list for it to show up ) so let me know ASAP if not on list

6  pay

7  be in competition mode (not training mode)

8  hit little dots in upper right corner next to small human head

9 select Change Competition

10  Select  Lone Star Challenge 2025 

11 be sure your sensor or whatever your using for position is connected ( National Pilots have to have sensor )

Are RED AREAS due to rain

Will be setting up a what’s app group for information so please have the APP loaded and ready to go

Task sheets will be on watch me fly hopefully by 5:45am every morning 

Bring your own baggies with your name on them 

They will be returned, method and when TBD.

Planning on having at least 2 hard targets  with 3 tasks = 3 baggies with name

Right now if you want will plan on meeting at Nanny Goats at 5:45 ( 1401 Judson Rd, Longview, TX 75601) 

There won’t be a formal briefing but 

The weather is looking challenging and it probably be wet so be respectful of landowners 

YOU will actually competing against yourself so close does count

These flights are for PRACTICE so you don’t have a need for perfection 

This is an opportunity to knock the dust off and to get use to using the 

Balloon live app.

ALL PZ,s will be in affect 

It will be probably be fairly damp so plan on walking balloons to edge of fields but really try to stay on pavement if you can

Support will be limited 

You are flying at your own risk and you are responsible for making your own decisions on to fly or not fly 

Weather will not be provided so you are responsible for your own information

LONE STAR CHALLENGE 2025

Evening 

The Lone Star Challenge is set up on Watch me Fly and will be ready to go for our first weekend event weather permitting. Will make a decision for a go or no go on Wednesday the weekend before the event. That date is TBD
