I first became involved with competition ballooning when I volunteered to observe at a small event in my home town in 1982 started by Bob Zanella. I went on to become a debriefer, assistant chief scoring officer, and scoring officer at local, regional, national and world events.  I have participated as staff or crew at World Championships in the US, Japan, Austria, Slovenia, and Hungary. My husband, Ken, and I owned a balloon for over 20 years and enjoyed sharing the sport with family and friends. Currently, I am enjoying taking on smaller roles at balloon events and crewing for friends.
