Kenneth Van Damme’s passion for aviation and adventure began many years ago. In 2006, he started his journey in the world of hot air ballooning as a crew member with Waasland Ballooning. There, he learned the fundamentals of ballooning, including balloon setup, teamwork, safety procedures, and supporting pilots during flights and events.

His enthusiasm for the sport quickly grew, and before long he started traveling to balloon competitions together with a Belgian pilot. Through these experiences, both in Belgium and abroad, he became actively involved in the competitive side of ballooning. These competitions offered not only technical challenges, but also a unique atmosphere of precision, teamwork, and international friendship.

In 2011, Kenneth successfully completed his observer course, allowing him to officially participate as an observer at balloon competitions both nationally and internationally. 

Over the years, he built a strong reputation within the ballooning community thanks to his experience and dedication. Today, Kenneth is active as an official at balloon competitions, With many years of experience in the sport, he remains a respected and valued member of the Belgian and international ballooning community.
