The event is organized by Difesa Servizi spa (a society created to organize event to promote history and traditions of national army, navy and air force) with the partnership of Italian Air Force together with Aeroclub dItalia, Aeroclub di Lugo di Romagna and Aeronord Aerostati, as techinical partners and organizers of all the balloon and competition part.

For this third edition of the Balloon Cup, that will take place from the 16th to 18th October 2026, the competition will be an international competition FAI CAT 2 with the participation of 16 hot air balloons and 16 gas balloons.

During these days inside the airport will be organized an event with music and food and many related activities (such as tethered flights with hot air balloons, workshop for children, kites flying, flight simulators, airplane displays managed by the Air Force and a unique exhibition of Frecce Tricolori).
