Mildura International Balloon Fiesta Inc proudly presents ‘Balloons Over Mildura.’ The event is structured around three key components:

Round Two of the Australian Balloon Federation Hot Air Balloon Grand Prix

This series is an Australian Ballooning Federation sanctioned event involving top Australian and international pilots competing to improve their Australian and world rankings.

Elite Competition Training – Selected pilots preparing to represent Australia at the 2026 World Hot Air Balloon Championships in Poland will undergo intensive training, honing the precision and techniques required for world-class competition.

National Skill Development – Australian balloon pilots aiming to elevate their competitive edge will engage in practice flights designed to enhance their accuracy, strategy, and in-air navigation skills.

Fiesta Flying – Pilots not competing will take to the skies in non-competitive flights, focusing on personal development and the joy of ballooning, adding colour and spectacle to the event.

We are excited to open registrations for Balloons Over Mildura and heat two of the Australian Grand Prix.
