Pam Clemons is a Commercial Pilot from Boone, Iowa.  She was first introduced to balloons by her father who was a Federal Aviation Administration General Maintenance Inspector assigned to the National Championships when they first came to Indianola, Iowa.  Hooked on the sport, Pam began crewing and eventually earned her Private and Commercial Licenses.  Forty years later she is still flying.  She earned the Ed Yost Master Pilot Award for 40 years of safe flying in 2022.  While she has competed in numerous balloon rallies and competitions including the National Hot Air Championship, National Balloon Classic, and Women’s Nationals, sharing the ballooning experience with others is her passion.  Her husband Bob is her Crew Chief and son Raithe anchors her crew.  He is also taking Balloon instruction from his mom.
