40 + 3 (medal holders) + 1 (additional organizer "wild card") = 44
(average number of competitors at previous Women’s World Championships = 35.5)
First Round:
NACs may nominate 2 competitors. If the first-round nominations exceed 75% (30) of the total number of competitors the Organizer is willing to accept (40; not including medal holders or additional Organizer "wild card"), then the first round will be reduced to 1 per NAC and the second nominations will be considered in the second round.
Medal holders and additional organizer "wild card" will be invited as part of the first round.
Second Round:
NACs may nominate 3 competitors determined by each NACs ranking position in the 5th FAI Women’s World Championship
*Average number of NACs at previous Women’s World Championships = 15.75 (16-19-15-13); average number of NACs at previous Women’s World Championship with only 1 nomination = 6.75 (9-9-5-4)*

$500 USD refunded at onsite registration to competitors of North American NACs
$1,000 USD refunded to competitors of NACs from all other continents
LPG is provided for all Championship flights

Other Entry Fee Details:
Entry fees will be paid to the Balloon Federation of America (BFA). Eligible refunds will be paid less the 3.99% credit card processing fees. Eligible domestic refunds will be paid by check. Eligible international refunds will be paid by PayPal, less applicable PayPal, currency exchange and international processing fees.
