Jason had his first balloon flight at the young age of 2 years old with his father who was a pioneer of Hot Air Ballooning in Canada.
After gaining his commercial licence in 1993 he has accumulated over 3700 hours and has flown on every Continent except Antartica. 
Jason is a 3 time Canadian National Champion and this will be his 7th time representing Canada at the World Hot Air Balloon Championship.
His favourite place to fly is over the wildlife of Serengeti National Park where he has also established 2 Luxury Tented Safari Camps and a third one on the way.
